A unique day to deepen the richness of Loire wines expressed through different grape varieties and terroirs. An event reserved for professionals from the CHR and caviste sectors, bringing together for the first time 32 AOP and DGC from confidential terroirs. A special opportunity to taste the Crus du Muscadet, the future Crus de l'Anjou et de Saumur, the wines of Touraine, the AOP du Haut-Poitou and the Vallée du Loir. 

A rare opportunity to delve deeper into the richness of Loire Wines and meet the people who shape them. 95 ambassador winemakers were on hand to share their cuvées and terroirs.

How many hectares of vineyards are cultivated in the Loire wine-growing region?

The vineyards of the Loire span approximately 57,000 hectares, covering 14 departments from Vendée to Puy-de-Dôme… making the Loire the 3rd largest wine region in France! The Loire wines cover 42,000 hectares from Nantes to Vendôme, passing through Angers, Saumur, and Tours.

What is the Loire Valley's most famous wine tourism route, combining wine tasting and châteaux?

The Loire Wine Route. This 800-kilometre route takes in some of the Loire's most remarkable estates and royal châteaux, from Chinon to Chenonceaux... all while discovering the wines of the Loire Valley. 

What are Loire wines?

Loire wines can be found in all 4 colours: white wine, red wine, rosé wine and sparkling wine. The terroirs of Loire wines stretch from Nantes to Clermont-Ferrand. Loire wines are made up of 34 AOPs and the Val de Loire PGI.
