Location

Located on the right bank of the Loire, halfway between Tours and Angers, the Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil vineyard extends over a single commune  Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil is both the name of the village and that of the red wine it produces. We're in western France, on the banks of the Loire, in the heart of the Parc Naturel, just beneath the forest and above the troglodytic caves.  All these inhabitants live to the rhythm of the seasons and the work of the vineyard, all are attentive to each plot. Living and growing as one, they have made the common choice to care for their environment.  A land of Cabernet Franc, everything is played out in the plots and in the 100 cellars where each vinifies....

A communal appellation, it follows the contours of the commune of Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, covering 1080 ha of the 3645 ha that make it up. The Village of Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil was born with its church, quite recently, in 1830. A village made up of hamlets, it is no less rural than it is commercial. Its two axes, crossing Switzerland-Ocean and Paris-Bordeaux, bear witness to this.
