Sacy

Touraine / Vallée du Loir

Sacy, also known as Tressalier in the Saint-Pourçain region, is an ancient white grape variety native to Burgundy.

General features

Introduced in the Loire Valley, it is mainly grown in the Yonne and Cher regions. Although less well known than other Loire grape varieties, it is used to produce dry white wines and sometimes in blends to add freshness and acidity.

Sacy produces light dry white wines with moderate acidity. It is appreciated for its delicate aromas and its ability to add vivacity to blended wines. Its wines are generally drunk young to take advantage of their freshness.
