Anjou-Coteaux de la Loire

Anjou-Saumur

An integral part of Anjou noir, the area extends over the south-eastern part of the Armorican Massif, with shallow brown soils. The terroir thus delimited corresponds to a situation of well-exposed and ventilated hillsides that favor early vegetation and allow for overripe harvests.

To remember

  • Chenin: Chenin produces fine, elegant wines with a liveliness or freshness due to its natural acidity, and a complexity due to its broad aromatic palette. Particularly sensitive to its terroir, the vintage effect and, of course, the talent of its winemaker, it seems to have a vocation or predestination: "never tire, always surprise". A true "passeur de terroir", it reveals in every sip the history and richness of the soils of which it is the faithful ambassador!

  • With their pretty yellow color and golden highlights, Anjou-Coteaux de la Loire wines have a pleasant nose and release aromas of ripe fruit and elegant floral notes. Depending on their origin, they will present animal notes if they come from a schist terroir, or mineral notes if they come from a limestone soil. Excellent wines for laying down, they develop notes of honey and candied fruit over time.
