Location

The Coteaux d'Ancenis appellation is located in the Loire-Atlantique wine-growing region, between Nantes and Angers, along the Loire Valley. This vineyard benefits from a temperate oceanic climate, ideal for growing Gamay and Pinot Noir grapes for reds and rosés, and Chenin for whites. The wines produced on the slopes of the Loire and its tributaries express a beautiful freshness and fruity character, typical of this unique terroir.

To remember

  • Located at the crossroads of the Nantais and Anjou regions, Coteaux d'Ancenis are spread across each bank of the Loire, from Ingrandes to Carquefou for the right bank and from St Florent Le Vieil to La Varenne for the left bank of the Loire.

The 150 hectares of vines have been recognized as AOC since 2011. True to their name, Coteaux d'Ancenis are often planted on hillsides. They grow on soils of schist, micaschist, gneiss and green rock.
