
Coteaux d'Ancenis
True to their name, Coteaux d'Ancenis are often planted on hillsides. They grow on soils of schist, micaschist, gneiss and green rock. Every year, 35 winemakers produce Coteaux d'Ancenis in three colors: white, mainly pinot gris called Malvoisie in the region, and red and rosé with gamay.

Located at the crossroads of the Nantais and Anjou regions, the Coteaux d'Ancenis are spread out on each bank of the Loire, from Ingrandes to Carquefou for the right bank and from St Florent Le Vieil to La Varenne for the left bank of the Loire. Its 150 hectares of vines have been recognized as AOC since 2011.
