Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine "Gorges

Nantais

Gorges is the oldest sector of the Muscadet crus, with winegrowers coming together under the communal umbrella since the mid-1990s. Gorges is structured on hillsides or knolls all around the Sèvre river and its tributaries. Soils are generally fairly deep, with the presence of weathering clay or quartz clay of medium to high fertility. The subsoil is homogeneous, consisting mainly of gabbros. The wines are extremely fresh, revealing their elegance even after several years of cellaring.
