GIE Moncontour -Vignobles Feray

The Moncontour vineyard is one of the oldest in the Loire Valley, and as early as the 10th century, cellars were dug into the hillside to vinify and preserve this precious wine. From the Renaissance onwards, it acquired great renown and was exported abroad, particularly to northern European countries. In addition to its vineyards on the best slopes overlooking the Loire Valley, Domaine de Moncontour offers wine lovers a historic setting with its elegant château. The Musée de Vigne et du Vin (Vine and Wine Museum) is located in the troglodytic cellars of the château and traces the social and cultural history of the world of wine and wine-making. Collection of around 3,000 tools related to vineyard and wine-making.
