General features
In the Loire, Sauvignon Gris is less widespread than its white cousin, but is increasingly appreciated for its distinctive wines. This grape variety is grown mainly in Touraine and Anjou, and is often used in blends to bring complexity to white wines. Sauvignon Gris produces dry white wines with good acidity and a rich aromatic palette. Wines made from this grape are known for their fuller body and more complex aromas than Sauvignon Blanc.
